Why don’t you have your own pufferfish? Living with tiny puffer is awful experience, I am sure it makes your life happier.
No big tank is needed. As dwarf puffer is too little, you can start your puffin’ life with small tank (only 5-6 litters) ,small filter and the smallest heater. Peko-chan lives in only 6 litters tank in my room.
You don’t have to feed them everyday. Generally fish don’t need so much energy because they don’t have to produce their body temperature. So you can travel for a week with your puffer left.
Dwarf puffer is likely to have some trouble in feeding, but it is interesting to try various food like blood worm, krill, shrimps, snails, fish food and so on. (In Japan, there is a special fish food, which every dwarf puffer loves, but I don’t know whether it is sold in other countries)
Anyway, why don’t you start? Puffer will become your little best friend.
